Your Dreams, Your Responsibility

Inauguration
Did you feel the
moment of coherence yesterday when Barak Obama was sworn in? It was palpable. I
look forward to speaking with Gregg Braden again in my spring Healing With the Masters
program and finding out what the Global Coherence Initiative
measured from the worlds energetic response.

I believe how Obama is pushing the American and global communities to take more responsibility, is a sign of the energies on the earth right now. I think it is yet another sign available for you to notice what you are feeling and use the inspired action that is coming forth from those feelings… What do you want? These new energies are here to support you. What action are you being called to take? The DO IT… act on those inspirations. Who are you being called to speak with? Reach out to them. Do you want something? Who can you ask to start the ball rolling? Check inside and feel into your heart, whose face comes to mind? ASK them! What is the worst thing that can happen? They will say no? They will say yes?

There really is no such thing as risk, it all just is, and is part of your juicy life adventure. You ask for what you want in your life and dreams and opportunities will show up to take you there. These opportunities may not look exactly how you thought they might, but use them as they come to you… and you will be amazed where it takes you.

So here is a little exercise; catastrophize (a new verb for you <smile>) what you are most afraid of–Yeah I know weird huh? Think of the absolute worst case scenario of what you most fear. Walk it through in your mind's eye. You will notice something, no matter what, even if the worst thing does happen, you are actually fine at the end. You survived, and survival usually (if you let it) leads to thriving. So know that, sometimes, in order to achieve that HUGE dream you have to actually see yourself as not getting it… and… here is the kicker… being ok with that. This is how you can release your dream to realization, by letting it go.

One other thought, don't depend on your dream to pay your mortgage… it puts too much pressure on it, and you may start to grasp in desperation. If you are in the early stages of achieving your dream you may need other financial support (e.g a job) as a stepping stone to get there. That grasping, desperate energy is a sure fire way to delay your dreams.

They key to all of this is taking the time to pay attention and notice how you are feeling when life shows up. Feel into the opportunities and see if that is the most heartfelt path for you. AND trust, find your faith, that your life is a beautiful path that is leading you ALWAYS to your best next version of you.

My upcoming workshop Heal Your Life, Heal Your Business is another way to explore some of these ideas further: http://www.healingrelease.com/healingbusiness.htm  This is shaping up to be a truly meaningful event and I would love to have you come and play with us.

Also, did you do your New Year intentions? I am personally still working on mine they are almost done. Do this exercise it is a powerful catalyst:

Each year I suggest this process and have found it a miraculous exercise for my own life. You start by asking yourself 4 questions…

1.    What do I want this year in my personal life
2.    What do I want this year for my financial life
3.    What do I want this year for my business life
4.    What do I want this year for my spiritual life

Then you write your answers. I feel into my body to identify in my heart what I am being drawn to create of the year. The MOST IMPORTANT part is to write it as if it has already happened. As an example / template, here is an excerpt of what I wrote for the category of business for 2009:

I am so grateful that this year became such an amazing journey of openness and discovery in my business. I was able to deliver my vision through divine energy to hundreds of thousands of souls that were not only open to the information but contributed to the content… AND they further delivered it to many more through word of mouth. The membership site (Next Generation Spirituality) was a huge success with so many experiencing heartfelt shifts and changes through the material offered. It became a place of safety and conversation for all who joined, and grew to include new audiences of those opening to the materials being offered by me and other contributors. The opportunity for the community to converse with one another was a blessing and a joy to my heart, showing me the possibilities for all communities of the world. I loved watching and hearing the shifts and changes members were experiencing and reveled in the moments they shared with others in the community, which triggered more openings and shifts and more sharing and so on. What a delight…

You get the idea… write it as if it has already happened AND makes sure you include how you "felt" when it happened. Do this for each of the categories (there may be some overlap but the categories are designed to allow for specifics in those four areas of your life). This is a POWERFUL exercise that almost acts as plan for the year but flows through and creates a vibrational resonance with what you are desiring. You can do this over the next couple of days… I promise you it will really make a lovely impact. Then print it out post a couple of copies in places you will regularly see them to remind you what you are creating.

How to USE your reactions…

I get the most AMAZING emails the majority 98% or so are lovely testaments to how they are applying some of the principles I have been able to share through my programs and how they have changed their lives. It is the most rewarding experience to hear that what worked for me and my clients is now working for them to. AND I also get to in turn pass along what this community shares with me to others in the community. It is a delightful circle of giving.

The other 2% of the emails are spiteful mean attacks that I have yet to get used to… but I use all of them and thank the energy that is showing up. Just today I was accused of extending my EARLY early bird rate because I can't fill my workshop. (It is pretty close to being at my target capacity.) I extended it because I know many are in a tight financial state and want to come… I wanted to help. But this emailer used a victim mentality to send a scathing email to say that they "caught" me with my hand in the cookie jar and that I should be ashamed.

So two things… when you have a reaction and go immediately into accusation this is YOUR opportunity. WHERE in your body are you feeling that (in this case) someone is trying to rip you off? What is that part of you, showing you, about you and your life patterns.

Ask into your body, how this aspect has served you? Then ask what this body part, this aspect of you, needs. It may take you to the trauma in your life where it was established that you couldn't possibly trust that another was in integrity… that life is somehow ripping you off. NOW ask what is needed to change this, and your bodies healing intelligence will take over and show you what this aspect needs to re-align into balance. It may be something practical like volunteering to see the good in people, or it may be a journey inside your body to a place where you can feel trust. It is all there for you.

So what if you are being falsely attacked as I was? USE THAT TOO. I went inside to see what inside of me was ready to be paid attention to, what aspect in me created this emailer to allow me another peek at my pattern of trust. Then I did a re-patterning technique and some Ho'oponopono and thanked them for showing up to reveal to me what I am ready to release.

It is all good, all God, and all an opportunity to wake up even more, to advance into joy and ease even more. I hope you can do the same when life shows up for you.

What are you missing?

P8250331
This is something that has been going around the internet again and was sent to me by one of my subscribers:

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.

In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston and the seats average $100.

This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of an social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?

One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

So maybe now it the time to to pause and think about what you love… and do that. Call a old friend or relative you haven't talked to in a while. Go for a hike or walk. Read a good novel. Make a great meal. Listen to some amazing music that fills your heart. Love yourself.
