Ho'oponopono Prayer (My Version)

I had many many requests to offer my version of the Ho’oponopono prayer that I layer with my healing dialoging system. I have captured this piece out of the transcripts from my talk on Tuesday May 13th to share it with you (this is from The Healing With The Masters Teleseminar Intensive)…

We are fully responsible for our life.  Everything that is in front of us right now we have created.  Everything is actually an opportunity.  There is no destination to getting to that opportunity.  And we can use what’s in front of us as breadcrumbs to get to the material that’s ready to be released.  So I’m going to walk you through a little Ho’oponopono exercise.  Now, I do Ho’oponopono a little bit differently than the way that Joe Vitale describes it.  I’ve kind of added a layer on top of it which is part of the dialoguing system I use for healing.  And lots of people seem to be resonating quite well with it.  So I’m going to go ahead and walk you through it. 

I want you to think of two people in your life right now…  Sandy just asked online how do we release them.  Sandy, I’m going to answer that right this minute.  How do you release the challenges?  It’s a siple process (but not necessarily easy everytime) right now I will explain my version of Ho’oponopono by using people.  So we’re going to start with a person.  And I want you to think of two people in your life that really are driving you insane.  That are really, really bugging you.  Okay.  So now that you’ve got those two people I want you to think about how are those two people challenge you.  What are they doing?  Think of a particular incident that they did that just made you crazy.  Something that they did that you kind of looked at and said, “How could they possibly do that?  That’s a horrible thing to do.”  And if you don’t have one that’s really recent, think of something in the past.  Good.  It feels like you all have something.

All right.  Now what I want you to do is I want you to think back in your own life and think of a time when you have done something similar to someone else.  Now, what they have done might be way more extreme than what you have done.  I didn’t finish my story about Dr. Len.  Dr. Len cured an entire ward of the criminally insane by simply doing this prayer – “I’m sorry.  Please forgive me.  I love you.  Thank you.”  He never once met with any of these people who murdered and raped and did all kinds of horrible, horrible unmentionable things.  That ward is shut down.  It took him 4 years.  And every day he just went in and looked at their files and took responsibility for the part that was his.  Even Abraham Hicks talks about this.  They talk about the fact that when we have a thought, that thought is creative and it creates our reality.  If you have a violent thought, that thought didn’t just disappear.  It got pushed into the world and someone picked it up.  Someone who is focused on violence picked it up and used it.

So in this moment think about those people again and think about the things that they did that drove you insane.  And think about a time in your life when you may have done something similar whether it was a thought, a word or a deed that you did.  If it was that these people did that was extreme then perhaps it was an extreme thought that you had in the past.  Think about that.  That you actually did something very similar to what this person did to you to someone else.  Okay.  So there is the reflection.  Do you see that?  There is the reflection, you did this exact same thing to someone else or you had this extreme thought maybe even repeatedly against another.  So in this moment you’re going to go through the prayer with me.  And I’m going to do the prayer slightly different.  Here’s how it goes.  So think about what you’ve done now.  Your focus is off that person.  Now it’s on to you and what you’ve done.  There we go.

“I’m sorry.”  Now, this is a very empathetic “I’m sorry.”  Not that you’re apologizing so much as you are feeling empathy towards yourself.  “And I am sorry.  I am so sorry that I had some things happen to me in my life at some point that created this thing that I did as a coping mechanism.  I’m so sorry that these things happened to me  I’m so sorry that these things resulted in this coping mechanism of this emotion or this thing that I have done.  And I have done it repeatedly.  I’m so sorry.  I’m so sorry.”

“Please forgive me.  Please forgive me for those I may have hurt through thought, word or deed by expressing this feeling, emotion or action.  Please forgive me for those who I may have hurt including myself.  Please forgive me for forgetting that the Divine loves me no matter what.  Please forgive me for forgetting that the Divine is in love with me no matter what.  Please forgive me for forgetting that I am innocent, and this person is innocent, and that we are all innocent in every moment.”

“I love you.  I love you.  I love you for being here right in this moment right now.  I love you for taking this moment to explore inside.  I love you.  I love you.  I love you.  I love you for the work that you do.  I love you for the seeker that you are.  I love you for the exercises that you’re getting and using.  I love you for this intention of creating the life that you want.  I love you.  I love you.”

“Thank you.  Thank you to this person who allowed you to see something inside of you right now that you’re ready to release.  Thank you.  Thank you for my life.  Thank you for the wonderful people that are surrounding me and the wonderful things and people that I’m creating.  Thank you for this understanding that allows me to know that I have power in my life, that I am a powerful being, and that I deserve what I desire.  Thank you for helping me understand this.”

“I’m sorry.  I’m so sorry for the things that I did.  The things that have happened to me.  The traumas that I experienced that forced me to use this as a coping mechanism.  Please forgive me.  Please forgive me for those who I may have hurt through thought, word or deed, and forgetting that I’m innocent and so are they.  We are all innocent.  I love you.  I love you.  I love you.  I love you.  I love you.” 

There we go.  A lot of people are feeling this right now.  Can you feel that energy elevate now?  Just know that as this energy is elevating on this call, that the energy on the earth is elevating.  We are creative beings right now.  And we are creating the universe that is right in front of us.  I love you.  I love you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  There we go.

That right there is a wonderful exercise that you can do with yourself every moment that any kind of challenge comes up for you.  The moment that challenge comes up for me, the first thing I do is I take a look at what they did that upset me.  And I immediately look inside and say, “Have I ever done that to anyone?”  And usually there are lots and lots of examples of times I have done something similar.  In some cases what they have done has been really, really extreme like if you see something horrible on the news.  But in that moment, if you’re triggered, that’s your opportunity.  If you’re triggered, you created that moment of being triggered so that you could do this work.  Notice it and pay attention to it.  And go inside and do Ho’oponopono and do these kinds of exercises.  Noticing and paying attention.

Attract Wealth Recap

WOW… that is almost all I can say. What an incredible weekend. I met the most present grounded and successful people at this past weekend’s Attract Wealth seminar put on by the ever amazing and expanding Joe Vitale and the lovely smart and talented Mark Ryan. One of my favorites was Craig Perrine, he is pushing a new frontier in online marketing… encouraging a level of presence and intuition in business that is helping thousands through his book Inspired Marketing (get it!). He is an absolute gem.

On e of the inspirational stories in Craig’s book is about Lisa Coultman, yet another fantastic and gifted spirit that I met at the seminar. Lisa is an artist that works with words in glass creating inspiring and healing jewelery that can help to make a difference in your life. Her amazing energy is infused in the artwork and she takes great care creating one of a kind pieces for individuals. She is working on a huge project to help third world nations… I will fill you in on that once I get a few more details. What is so amazing about Lisa is that several years ago she would not have considered herself an artist and this amazing and successful business she has created wasn’t even an inkling for her, but through synchronicities and listening to the bread crumbs the universe was leaving her, she is finding real success and helping so many.

What breadcrumbs is the universe leaving for you? When will you act on those?

I had the privilege of sitting with Aymee Rodriguez  at dinner on Saturday night, just a gem of a person. She is a healer and coach and is making a difference in every life she touches (including mine). She used the weekend to come up with a new product, jumped right on the inspiration and it is in the works. She has even invited me to participate and I am excited to do so. This can be you too if you listen to those divine inspirations and act on them NOW.

Then there was Saul Maraney from south Africa. A gentle yet powerful soul that is teaching the value of Ho’oponopono. He gifted me a lovely bracelet made by local tribes… just beautiful.

Jennifer Hawkins is an amazing go getter that is learning the value of taking care of herself and is teaching others to do the same… she JUST launched her book and had an amazing launch (already at #34 on Amazon bestsellers) . Jennifer was able to offer me some wonderful insight about my health that was quite profound for me. She is quite a gift!

Then there was the bright (I am talking genius level) and enthusiastic John Reilly with his "magic" machine, the LifeStream Generator. Michale Beckwith has this and Joe Vitale uses it to help him meditate. I just got one too. You can check it out at www.zeropointresearch.com .Bottom line true inventor developing life changing products.

I can’t leave this blog without talking about the irreverent , genius and TRUE master Jerry Stocking.  I can’t really describe this amazing man but to say that he changed a lot of peoples lives at this event… he is beyond beyond. In an instant he was able to detect some of my core issues, he gave me a wonderful and very direct critique of my talk that I know will change the way my healing energy is received by audiences forever. I experienced so many epiphanies in his presence that it will take weeks to work through it.  You have to be ready for someone like Jerry then take full advantage of the depths that you will explore together, and I intend to explore further.

Joe of course was the master of masters, I so love being in his presence,  I once again learned some new tricks, insights and  processes, like this for example… When we take on something new, we are not the person at the beginning of a project that we are at the end. Just by simply knowing this and acknowledging it, the path can be gentler more open and fun (I am severely paraphrasing here but you get the point). So knowing what you do know and using that and combining that with knowing that you don’t know, can serve you to open up to help and assistance from those who do know (that last bit was a bit esoteric, but mull it over). So cool!

I took a few pictures of the fire that was in the hills right behind my home (available on my Facebook site) and there is a video of that fire taken by my friend who lives across from me. Ho’oponopono and the New Spiritual Principles

I have been behind in my posts of late. I have been busy
finishing The Big Book of You. It is an
exciting yet time-crunched time and I apologize for my absence. I will work at
posting more in the coming weeks as I build up to my launch (tentatively
scheduled for Dec 10, 2007—guaranteed Christmas delivery!).

I have been doing a speaking series at Sangha Center for
Spiritual Living called Ho’oponopono and the New Spiritual
Theories. I am two weeks into this great 9-week series and we are
having so much fun. Last night I talked about EFT and the Sedona Method as well
as the healing release technique I developed (that is included in Joe
Vitale’s book The Key as a
contributed chapter authored by me). The original talk I did about this is available
at my last
post.

Each of these techniques discussed at my talk last night encourages
exploration of emotions as a path to release. Feeling your feelings is truly
the key here. Being with your body and experiencing what you are feeling creates
space. The observer effect found in quantum physics applies here, by simply
noticing and acknowledging what you are feeling emotionally and physically
comes the opportunity to release. This doesn’t mean going into it like primal
scream therapy (that simply reinstates the trauma) but observing and “asking
into” your body; meaning ask what is there, why it is there and what it needs.  Then using what we perceive to be the
challenging feelings to release the old caked on energy blocks as well as using
the so called positive emotions (there are really no good or bad emotions) to
feel the gratitude and open ourselves to our dreams.

Living a Deliberate Life (not at the affect of life)

Isn’t it time to be deliberate? There is no more time for sitting
back; now is a moment of action. Not just doing for the sake of doing but
opening to the divine and listening, which is an aspect of doing/action.
Observe your surroundings and notice what feels “right” and what feels off,
then act on that. Acting/doing in this instance might simply be noticing
what the “off” part is, and how it is being attracted to you… What is it, where
and how does it manifest in your life. Then focus on attracting the tools and
skills that allow you to release it. The fact that you are reading this now is
an indicator that you are likely ready to release something. Here are a few
methods and tools for release:

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Check out Gary Craig’s information packed web site. This link directs you to the page where there is a free 85 page download to learn how to do this for yourself. It is a great start, but find yourself an EFT therapist. I have two, Mary Hall who is local and Brad Yates who has a great Sunday morning group gathering (well worth it).   • Ho’oponopono. Joe Vitale has an amazing new book that walks you through the basics of Ho’oponopono. This is seriously the real deal healing method. I do it daily… any downtime or moments of confusion are filled with Ho’oponopono.

list of things you can do, review them let these choices sit with you, open
yourself to the energetic essences, and use your inspiration to make a choice.
That process is yet another exercise for you. Right now take a look at your “to
do” list. Now take deep breath relax into the moment, find your center. From
this place of calm take another look at the list, without thinking about it,
what is calling to you? Maybe there is something that is not on your list (like
something you really love to do), add it to the list. Then do that which is
calling you the most, do what is creating a yearning inside of you. Writing
this blog right now is that for me. This is working from inspired action and it
will guide you unerringly to your goals. This is how to start living more
deliberately.
