What are you missing?

This is something that has been going around the internet again and was sent to me by one of my subscribers:

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.

A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work.

The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother tagged him along, hurried but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.

In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace. He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.

Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theater in Boston and the seats average $100.

This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of an social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour: Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpected context?

One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

So maybe now it the time to to pause and think about what you love… and do that. Call a old friend or relative you haven't talked to in a while. Go for a hike or walk. Read a good novel. Make a great meal. Listen to some amazing music that fills your heart. Love yourself.

There are so many amazing programs for peace, every time you turn around another group is petitioning each of use to help for peace. What feels interesting to me about this movement at this time in our evolution, is the sense of personal responsibility that is being asked in these requests… such a crucial "peace" of the puzzle.

I firmly believe that until your own violent thoughts are addressed, acknowledged and released, then there will still be violence in the world. Unless we each look within at our own sense of lack and explore the emotions and memories found there, then poverty will be a continual part of our lives. When we all are taking the time we need for self care and "filling our own pitcher" so to speak, will there be peace on balance on the earth.

What is your responsibility for peace? Discover it within that is where your peace AND the peace of the world is found.

Here are a couple of places that you can hear for yourself techniques that can promote peace most of them are about you doing your work…

I was recently on Stephanie Gunn's The Great American Think Out… you can hear my talk about peace, where you will experience a clearing of the lack of peace within you. Mary Hall my friend and colleague just spoke there last night and delivered a moving talk and a demonstration of EFT that will shift you RIGHT NOW into peace. Check out the other speakers part of Stephanie's program… AND she is asking her audiences to "think peace" on October 1– do that.

Lynne McTaggart author of The Intention Experiment is a pioneer for peace with her Intention Experiments, offering a series of web-based experiments leading scientists and readers around the world to test the power of our thoughts to change the physical world.  It is open to anyone to participate as long as you register. Her most recent experiment was focused on Sri Lanka to reduce the violence there. This is worth following, and she plans more such Peace Intention Experiments, click here to join her. Lynne will be on my Healing With the Masters program in October 9 and you can hear first hand what her research has found.

Here is a pretty amazing channeling by well known healer Patricia Robles that alone might just shift you into a new sense of responsibility and knowing…

In order for the patterns of perfection for the New Earth to physically manifest, the overwhelming corruption, greed, fraud, selfishness, ignorance and abuse of power, which has been the order of the day for far too long in our global economic system, must be exposed and eliminated. This is exactly what we are witnessing at this time.

It is not the Divine Intent of our Father-Mother God for this imperative cleansing of the global economic system to take awakening Humanity down the tubes financially. Quite the contrary. The Divine Intent is for these old behavior patterns, which have caused so much pain and suffering throughout the world, to be quickly exposed and eliminated. Then the patterns of God’s Infinite Abundance and Eternal Peace will be easily established as the order of the day on the New Earth.
The most important thing Lightworkers can do to accelerate this process of healing is to focus our attention on the new patterns of Abundance and Peace. The Beings of Light in the Realms of Illumined Truth have given us wonderful invocations, visualizations and decrees to assist us in doing just that. These gifts from On High are designed to help us keep the focus of our thoughts, words, feelings and actions on the Truth of what is occurring instead of on the fear-based patterns of our broken global economy.

Please join in consciousness with Lightworkers all over the world as you empower the patterns of perfection for our global economy and for the New Earth. Go within to the deepest recesses of your heart, and join in one-pointed consciousness as you invoke the full Divine Potential of God’s Infinite Abundance and Eternal Peace.

From the realm of Divine Consciousness, I have the clear inner knowing that GOD IS MY SUPPLY

From this moment forward, I consecrate and dedicate my very life to be the Open Door through which the new, frequencies of Eternal Peace and Infinite Abundance will now flow to bless me, my family, friends, coworkers and ALL Humanity.

In fact, The Peace symbol is 50 years old this year and there is a great website called “Happy Birthday Peace” which celebrates the symbol.

May you find the peace within so all of us can, in unison, experience the peace outside.

Many blessings to you all!

Unplug For Peace!

My friend John Berg has created this amazing project, UNPLUG FOR PEACE, using an
unconventional way,
yet easy for all of us to do, and will have a HUGE impact
if we join together and make it happen. John is very well connected and has
some big thinkers, celebrities and influencers on board, I ran into him at Agape (Michael Beckwith of “The Secret” fame’s spiritual center) today
and his enthusiasm and passion are phenomenal, I had to come right home and
write this post about it.  The idea is to
“reboot America,”
and I for one am in!!! Below is the information about the project, read it and
tell your friends about it. Send this blog post to 5 friends and know that you are
having an impact –healing America–
while honoring the memory of Martin Luther King and Mhatma Gandhi proponents of peace.

I would also encourage you to take another look at my post
for peace: Dona Nobis
, it offers ways to go inside yourself to find the peace within
that can truly create the peace in our time.

Unplug For Peace!

“No government demands so much
of the citizens as democracy and none gives so much back.”
James Bryce,
British diplomat and historian

On the 60th anniversary of Gandhi’s death, in his
and Dr. King’s memory, using their example of peaceful non-cooperation, it is
time to take one day and show our leaders we will no longer cooperate with the
direction this nation has been going.  We’ll invite Gandhi’s spirit to
guide us in a day of peaceful, non-participation and  mindful, non-consumption.
While there is much to celebrate, millions working diligently to solve the
painful riddles of our time, poverty, hunger, war, a disgraceful healthcare
system, environmental degradation, political corruption, fiscal
irresponsibility, corporate malfeasance, the list is long and growing and their
efforts are fragmented.  Worse, powerful interests are served by
prolonging these ills.  Many, believing nothing can be done or scrambling
to keep from drowning, have given up or lapsed into escapism.  We can no
longer afford obstructionism or despair.  It is time to wake up across the
board, time to call for change in a way that no rock concerts, fund drives,
movies or marches ever have.

The vision is simple, a hundred million Americans
refusing for one day to go about business as usual. We’ll empty the skies, the
schools, the malls, the offices, the roads.  We’ll give our infrastructure
a day of rest by staying off the grid to the best of our ability.  No
lights, no radio, no TV, no phones.  The economic impact of one day of
massive, passive non-consumption is staggering. A one day 50% reduction in
traffic would save 7 million barrels of oil, a $500 million dollar one day
impact. Factor in cutting energy consumption in half, not shopping or trading
stocks for a day, you begin to see the economic power of this
demonstration.  Make no mistake it is a demonstration unlike anything this
country has ever seen. Completely peaceful, environmentally friendly,
psychologically and spiritually healthy.  The bonus is we’ll give the
planet a day to catch its breath, while we catch ours.  Think of it as
re-booting the computer known as America.  A young Marine heard
about this and exclaimed, "It’s like The Day the Earth Stood
Still."  He got it.

UNPLUG FOR PEACE is about voluntarily recreating a
feeling that has only happened once in our lifetime in the wake of the disaster
on 9/11.  This day when we sacrifice just a little of our routine will
help us not merely avert the many disasters that await us if we don’t; it will
help us turn the corner into fulfilling our promise and potential.  Pledge
to join us on that day.  In a day of national stillness, miracles will
