Dreaming It Up with Ned Kraft!

I was thrilled to have my good friend, and coach, Ned Kraft, join us tonight for a bonus call on Healing with the Masters!

Ned’s no-nonsense, don’t stress approach to living the life of your dreams has helped hundreds of people do just that! What I love about Ned is that he really does coach his clients. He doesn’t have any “guilt trips” or “drill sergeant tactics” up his sleeve… he genuinely wants to help people get to the most important stuff – their lives!

On tonight’s call, Ned talked about dreams, and he said that they fall into 2 categories…

  • Fantasies
  • Dreams we hold within ourselves that are for you. Something that makes us more satisfied with life.

I asked him how do we find our dream and bring it forward? He said that we should start with something small that we can do in today’s life. He also said we should ask ourselves, “what are we going to get out of the completion of our dream? But one key question to ask was, “Whose dream is it? (i.e. is your dream someone else dream? Someone like your father?, etc.)

He also talked about some key elements that need to be present when bringing our dreams forward.

  • Inner Peace
  • Joy
  • Happiness
  • Satisfaction

Ned said if our goals don’t have any of the key elements it needs to come true, we’ll remain disconnected from that dream. Pushing something on our dream list more than a month out, turns it into a fantasy, and it keeps the dream “out there”.

He also mentioned the importance of building support structures as another key element to managing our personal stress. Spending one minute (3-5 times a day) centering ourselves and thinking about what we want to do also helps us manage stress levels. When we have support, we won’t become “needy”.

Needy? Well, if you’re looking for a relationship, but you don’t have any friends, then your new love may see you as “needing” them versus already being in a secure place within yourself.

We also talked a little about the Law of Attraction, and why so many people tend to change their dreams almost as quickly as they made them up. Ned said this usually happens when people have gained a deeper, truer understanding of this law. LOA isn’t about “getting stuff”. It’s about being truly fulfilled and inspired with our dreams.

Ned also suggested that we try our dreams before investing a lot of energy into them.

For example, if you have a dream of being a life coach, book a couple of clients to see if you’ll even like it.

Experimentation is never wrong.

Another example Ned gave us was from a participant from my member site, MasterWorks Healing where Ned is a monthly contributor. A woman wanted to know how she could change her husband’s mind of opening a bed & breakfast. Ned’s response was, “Don’t change it. Encourage it.” He told her to encourage her husband to be an apprentice at a hotel, and work closely with the manager or owner to see if that dream is something he really wants to do.

We also talked a little about success, and Ned gave us two definitions…

  • External (tangible)
  • Internal (personal satisfaction)

Although, external success is nice, Ned works with the internal side of things. He said cleaning up our mindset is key to internal success.

Trust that you know what you need to know.

It’s always a blast hanging out with Ned, and if you missed the live call, you can catch his replay here. [insert url]
