Embracing Your Goblin with Colette Baron-Reid

Forrest Gump once said, Life is like a box of chocolates. And if you’re like me, you absolutely LOVE chocolate for how it brings a delicious smile to your face… how it causes you to laugh… and how it makes you feel so darn good. Well, tonight’s guest, Colette Baron-Reid, reminds me of chocolate because I had the best time playing with her! Not only is she a beautiful spirit, but she is SUPER funny! I laughed out loud countless times as I’m sure the audience did too!

What is intuition? Colette told us to imagine a radio knob inside of our bodies that can access consciousness that’s outside of us; the consciousness that connects us to who we are. That intuition comes to us in different ways… as a hunch, a gut feeling, a knowing, and everyone has their own way of receiving higher guidance.

Like exercising our bodies, intuition must also be exercised so that we can learn to trust it more. When we trust our intuition, we send a clear signal to the Universe that we want to learn more about the wisdom that lies within us…

One key thing to remember is that our bodies are not containers for our souls because our souls are so much bigger than our tiny physical bodies. Our souls are connected to all that is… When we listen to the wisdom in our souls, we become our authentic selves. We become more fearless, not warrior fearless, but fearless in that we’re no longer afraid to take that leap of faith because we trust that when we do, all will be just as it should be. When we’re letting our authentic self be expressed, we are then being who we were meant to be.

We all have all right to be here, and it’s important for us to respect all forms of life. Colette said we’re being called to see ourselves as a global community, but before we can heal and serve others, we must first look at our own stuff and heal it.

There are two common themes that have come up over the past year during Colette’s private sessions. People want to know “How do I keep what I have and not give it away?”, but more importantly, they’re asking, What am I really here to do? In her new book, The Enchanted Map of You: Finding the Magic and Meaning in the Story of Your Life (available for pre-order; releasing in January 2011), Colette will help us in finding just that… the quest for this answer has caused frustration, anguish, fear, isolation, and countless other emotions to surface in people who believed they would never learn why they are here. In The Enchanted Map of You, we’ll learn how to find what we need to retrieve from the past and see what needs to be disowned in ourselves and what needs to be loved.

Colette walked us briefly through her Goblin exercise… it’s a meditation that helps us identify that part of us that’s blocking us from our intuition. Here are a couple of videos Colette did that will offer more information and guide you to identifying and, ultimately, embracing your goblin.

Part 1

Part 2

We all have more than one goblin, and when we’re not doing our daily work (being compassionate, empathetic, reflective, loving towards self and others… authentic), our goblins will always come out in full force.

The second half of the show was just as fabulous… we learned about the God Box which later turns into a Miracle Box as well as other juicy and funny insights!

Be sure to CATCH THE REPLAY while there’s still time to listen for F*R*E*E! But don’t worry if you don’t make it because you can always purchase an upgrade package, this way, you can listen to this amazing call… whenever and as often as you life!
