I wanted to let you know that I have decided to cancel James Ray’s appearance on Healing With the Masters. We will be ending the series a little early on Dec 17 with John Assaraf’s call.
The happenings with James Ray and the 3 deaths at his Spiritual Warrior program have been a very big trigger for me personally, and I know for many of you as well–and I believe, for the human potential movement as a whole. But I think there is a divine opportunity for me and the entire consciousness movement.
As you know from the call I did for you on Healing With the Masters on Oct 22, that I believe in the process of life and how it shows up for all of us… Personally, I have had moments of planting myself in that sweat lodge and felt into “what would I have done.” I have felt myself in the shoes of being a
leader and coach, and the sense of personal responsibility I have felt has been upped to an important new level because of this. I am now checking in even more to ensure I am congruent with my integrity and how I show up.
There is healing available here for all of us. There is an opportunity for each of us to take seriously our own care for ourselves in every aspect of our life… are we congruent, are we safe, are we feeling into our hearts, and is what we are experiencing in any given moment (at work, in a workshop, in our relationships) in alignment with our highest level of love, safety and light. These are the questions that are coming up for me… and as you can see these life moments become opportunities of all of us to deepen and evolve.
I am using the emotions that are coming up to heal deeper levels and I think that is the opportunity for all. At the same time we can also hold all involved in light and love, compassion, grief and forgiveness, including James. The opportunity is to accept without approving, to distance without judgment, and bring a new level of presence to our daily lives.
There is no judgment or finger pointing in this decision, that will solve nothing, but we each get to choose who we have in our lives and who we align ourselves with, and this just doesn’t feel like a fit for me or this community at this time. This may change at some future date, but in this moment this
feels right.
Again I would ask that you each hold all involved as the light that they are, and by holding that light for all it creates the opportunity for all of us to grow.

Jennifer, I don’t blame you for making the choice you did. What choice did you really have, given the situation? The sweat lodge event has helped me, also, think about the great responsibility we have as teachers, and I have looked at it and imagined what it would have been like from the perspective of all those involved. My blog readers recently had an open, respectful discussion about the sweat lodge tragedy.
